How to do the Cable Standing Leg Extension

  1. Attach an ankle strap to a high pulley and secure it around your right ankle. Stand facing away from the machine and hold onto a stable surface for balance.
  2. Bend the knee of the strapped leg so your heel is close to your glutes.
  3. Slowly extend your leg by straightening the knee and then return it to the starting position.
  4. Repeat for the desired repetitions, switch legs, and repeat.

Form tips

  • Avoid locking out your knee at the top to keep constant tension.
  • Start with light resistance to perfect form and avoid joint strain.
  • Make sure your thighs remain in line throughout the motion.
