How to do the Barbell Lying Triceps Skull Crusher
- Lie on a flat bench with your feet flat on the floor, holding a barbell with an overhand grip, hands shoulder-width apart. Your arms should be fully extended above your chest.
- Slowly lower the barbell by bending your elbows, bringing the barbell towards your forehead.
- When the barbell is just above your forehead, reverse the movement by extending your elbows to return the barbell to the starting position.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, then carefully rack the barbell back onto the bench press rack.
Form tips
- Keep your upper arms stationary and only move your forearms to isolate the triceps.
- Lower the barbell slowly and with control to maximize muscle engagement and prevent injury.
- Ensure a firm grip on the barbell to maintain control and proper alignment throughout the movement.
