How to do the Band Cross Abduction

  1. Stand with your feet hip-width apart and place the resistance band under both feet, crossing the band in front of you. Hold the handles of the band in opposite hands with arms hanging in front of your hips.
  2. Keeping your right leg straight, lift it sideways away from your body until your leg is fully extended to the side.
  3. Slowly lower your leg back to the starting position with control, keeping tension in the band.
  4. Repeat the movement for the desired number of repetitions, then switch to the left leg.

Form tips

  • Ensure the resistance band is securely placed under your feet and properly crossed to avoid slipping.
  • Keep your upper body stationary and avoid leaning to the side.
  • Perform the exercise slowly and with control to maximize muscle engagement.
